Position Summary: The Media Center Educational Assistant assists students and teachers in the use of the Educational Media Center and resources according to the protocols and procedures established by the principal and Media Specialist, and supervises and assists students in accessing and using media resources and technologies; and assists in the facilitation of student testing according to state testing requirements and district and school protocols.

 

Position Requirements: High school diploma required, at least a two-year degree preferred. Proficient in the use of Google Suite applications and district instructional software programs used by students, and have the ability to assist students. Effective interpersonal and communication skills with students and adults.

 

Other Skills & Abilities: Provide a variety of strategies in working with students in the IMC setting. Exhibit flexibility in day-to-day dealings with staff and students. Maintain the confidentiality of all information regarding students. Perform duties within a structured daily schedule and with an awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, parents, and students. Reliable and consistent attendance.

Hours:
7:40 am - 2:40 pm / M-F student contact days

 

Pay Rate:
B-2-1 / $18.64 - $22.44 per hour, depending on experience.
